Jeremy Wirth

attorney

Jeremy Wirth joined Macias-Mayo Law in 2024, and with him he brought a fresh melody.

Wirth is a recent graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, but his path to Macias-Mayo Law has been anything but straight forward. Prior to law school, Wirth was an accomplished professional musician. Life experiences, however, pushed him in a different direction. Wirth has been a parent to 9 (!) foster children. As such, Wirth often interacted with the GALs and court attorneys who represent foster kids in the endless legal proceedings they are subjected to. With ample opportunity to see the difference these professionals could make in children’s lives, Wirth decided to turn his life upside down and enrolled in the UNM School of Law. He knew he wanted to practice family law, and he knew he wanted to work at a law firm where the health and well-being of children were important considerations in the practice of family law. After a careful search, Wirth found the harmony he was looking for at Macias-Mayo Law.

He is a native of Kansas but considers his move to New Mexico among the most providential decisions of his life. He has passionately adopted New Mexico and is both proud and grateful to be able to contribute to the community in numerous ways: besides continuing as a foster parent, Wirth serves as the Dean of the Albuquerque/Santa Fe Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and is the Director of Music and Organist of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Albuquerque. Many other community boards and committees have also benefited from his generosity of spirit and his willingness to devote time to their endeavors.
